MEET MARIA
EMDR Therapist for Women Across Wisconsin and Florida
If you’re here, you’re likely a high achieving woman who looks put together on the outside but feels anxious and exhausted inside. Perfectionism, people pleasing, and overthinking are survival patterns rooted in unresolved trauma, and EMDR helps heal what’s underneath.
You might be here because:
You’re successful on paper, but internally feel on edge, emotionally exhausted, or disconnected from yourself—like you’re always holding it together.
You struggle with high functioning anxiety rooted in childhood trauma—patterns that once helped you succeed and stay safe, but now keep you stuck in overthinking, people pleasing, and perfectionism.
You’ve tried talk therapy before, gained insight and awareness, yet still notice the same anxious patterns showing up in your body and daily life.
You’re worn down from living in survival mode and don’t want another coping strategy—you want deeper trauma healing that actually lasts.
You’re ready to stop managing symptoms and want to heal the underlying trauma that keeps your nervous system stuck in overdrive.
Therapy For High Achieving Women Who Are Tired of Just Coping…
As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and fellow Gen Z anxious human, I support high-achieving women who look like they’re doing “fine” on the outside but feel stuck in survival mode on the inside. Many of my clients have spent years in talk therapy gaining insight, yet still feel trapped in high-functioning anxiety, perfectionism, people pleasing, and overthinking.
Through EMDR therapy, I help you move beyond understanding your trauma actually heal it at a nervous system level—so anxiety no longer runs your life, and you can feel present, grounded, and at ease in your body, not just more self-awareness.

For most of my life, I was the overachiever, the responsible one, the perfectionist, the one who always pushed through often to the point of burnout.
Overachievement and overworking became second nature to me early on. I learned to equate worth with performance and felt constant pressure to do more, be better, and never fall short. I held myself to impossible standards, believing anything less than perfection wasn’t enough.
From the outside, I looked calm, capable, and successful. On the inside, I was anxious, exhausted, and stuck in survival mode.
It wasn’t until I began my own EMDR therapy that I understood how deeply my high functioning anxiety and perfectionism was connected to unresolved childhood trauma. EMDR helped me move beyond understanding my patterns and actually heal them.
That experience is why I do this work.
I understand what it’s like to look fine while feeling overwhelmed, pressured, and disconnected inside. My mission is to help ambitious, high-achieving women heal childhood trauma, release perfectionism and people-pleasing, and finally feel calmer, grounded, and secure in themselves.
My Story
How EMDR therapy can help…
…EMDR therapy is a powerful, evidence-based approach for healing childhood trauma, high functioning anxiety, and deeply ingrained trauma responses like perfectionism and people pleasing.
Instead of only talking through your experiences or managing symptoms, EMDR helps your brain and body reprocess trauma, so you’re no longer stuck in survival mode. This allows for deeper, lasting change, especially if you’ve hit plateaus in traditional talk therapy. EMDR therapy can support healing from high functioning anxiety and chronic stress, perfectionism, and people pleasing, overachievement and burnout, and childhood trauma and attachment wounds.
